ترامپ میگوید امیدوار است بسیاری از کشورها از جمله چین، فرانسه، ژاپن، کره جنوبی و بریتانیا پس از تلاش ایران برای بستن این مسیر حیاتی کشتیرانی، کشتیهای جنگی خود را به همراه ایالات متحده اعزام کنند تا تنگه هرمز را باز و امن نگه دارند.
کره جنوبی اعلام کرد کره شمالی حدود 10 موشک بالستیک به سمت دریای ژاپن (دریای شرقی) شلیک کرده است.
به گفته دو مقام، پنتاگون در حال انتقال بخشهایی از سامانه دفاع موشکی تاد (THAAD) از کره جنوبی به خاورمیانه است. این افراد گفتند که ارتش همچنین از رهگیرهای پیشرفته پاتریوت خود در هند-اقیانوس آرام و جاهای دیگر برای تقویت دفاع خود در برابر حملات پهپادی و موشکهای بالستیک ایران استفاده میکند.
رئیس جمهور کره جنوبی، لی، بر اهمیت واکنش به نوسانات بازار ارز و سهام تأکید کرد.
کیم جونگ اون، رهبر کره شمالی، بر آزمایش موشک کروز استراتژیک از ناوشکن جدید نظارت داشت.
