North Korea rings in the New Year with a fireworks show
KCNA: "6. It is just the time for the U.S.-led hostile forces and the UN to throw away the old drum of 'human rights' racket against the DPRK, isn't it Why does the U.S. fail to give up the oldhostility even after the publication of the DPRK-U.S. joint statement in Singapore"
KCNA: "5. Can you pinpoint any land of human love, except the DPRK, in the world map The U.S. had better work hard to clean its dirty face before slandering others."
KCNA: "Fin-de-siecle ways of life like misanthropy, contempt, violence, pornography and corruption afflict the sound souls and bodies of people, driving them into the abyss of ignorance, in the U.S. and other Western countries."
KCNA: "4. Have you ever heard about the country where all the members of society are trained to be highly civilized and creative beings under the slogan of making all the people well versed in science and technology"
KCNA: "Perhaps, all of you are so fearful that homeless people sleeping curled up in subways and waiting rooms in New York and Washington may know such a fairytale story that was already materialized in the DPRK."
KCNA: "3. Can you imagine such social policies of the DPRK for its people as free education, free medical treatment and free provision of dwelling houses from the state DPRK is the one and only country where the state builds dwelling houses and provides them to people free."
KCNA: "2. Can you pick out any country like the DPRK that has no jobless person and vagabond We'd like to ask if you, bat-blinds, have no nerve to believe that there is the country unique on this planet."
KCNA: "The association, on behalf of the Korean people and the conscience of mankind, made the following questions to the U.S. and its vassal forces: 1. Is there any country on the earth like the DPRK where the people fully enjoy political freedom and democratic rights"
KCNA: "Shortly ago, the U.S. and its followers at a full-dress session of the United Nations General Assembly fabricated another 'resolution on human rights in north Korea' malignantly slandering the dignity and system of the DPRK."
KCNA: "The Korea Association for Human Rights Studies on Sunday raised an open questionnaireThe questionnaire said that the world has undergone amazing changes, but only the U.S. and its followers remain unchanged in their mean and stupid ambition to stifle the DPRK."

Bob Carlin: "High-level commentary carried by KCNA, another one by the same author—Jong Hyon—appeared on December 20. This one has caused a considerable reaction in Western media, though it actually contains little that is new." @38NorthNK
KCNA: "The LKP, a cancer-like entity in realizing peace and reunification, must not make a mockery of the people with its wicked wordplay but end its existence as early as possible."
KCNA: "As a crow can never be whiter for often washing, the conservative group can never conceal its despicable nature as the 'party standing for war', 'confrontation-oriented party' and 'anti-reunification party' no matter how loudly it trumpets about 'peace'."
KCNA: "Still when the inter-Korean relationshave greeted a turning point, the conservative group, which is on the decline with each passing day after being sternly judged by history, is working hard to block the trend of the present situation with thoughtless remarks."

And here's the full English-language text of North Korea's latest statement about stalled negotiations with Washington, just after the U.S.'s lead negotiator arrived in South Korea.
KCNA: "If the U.S. gives up the ambition for denuclearization by dint of high-handed practices and pressure and unilateral 'denuclearization of north Korea', the way-out will be shown."
KCNA: "Voices of concern are heard from the U.S. to the effect that finding a way for the denuclearization, given the present stalemate of the DPRK-U.S. negotiations, would be like a groping for a way in the middle of desert. But there is a way."
KCNA: "Or it is trying to find a way of derailing the improvement of relations and the denuclearization process by inventing absurd 'evidence' called 'strange signs' in nuclear and missile bases of the DPRK."
KCNA: "It is persisting in the maintenance of sanctions on the DPRK and pressure over the issue of 'human rights'. It seems it is thinking of rattling the DPRK, a country of high sense of dignity, and disrupting the negotiations."
KCNA: "What we asked the U.S. to take as a corresponding measure was not a thing that ishard to put into practice for the U.S. The end of the hostile policy toward the DPRK and the lift of unwarranted sanctions measuresthe U.S. can do without a knuckle of finger."
KCNA: "We have shown the U.S. which has thousands of nuclear weapons enough to destroy the earth several times, the country which has not changed even a single point-mark in its nuclear attack map targeting the DPRK, our will to denuclearization."
